13 Days to go - and we are packing

13 days to go to our exciting visit to Sierra Leone. We have already started packing our suitcases with school resources, sports equipment, clothes, football kits and more.....

We are particularly looking for medium sized blue, green or white t-shirts so that these can be used during Sports Day. If you do have any can you please drop these into reception.

Special thanks to Liverpool FC (so hard for me to say that :-) ) who have donated two teams of kits - one for the little children at Hope Prep and another for the students at Nelson Mandela High School.

17 Days to go - New School Building Progress

 Here you will see a collection of images from the last 6 months of the new school building that our girls have funded.

The images range from the pencil drawing and digging foundations to a near completed building. 

During our visit the girls will have the privilege of opening the new building. In partnership with the school in Sierra Leone - we have named the building 'The Madiba Centre for Learning'; after the great Nelson Mandela. 

20 Days to go - and packing!

We are preparing for our trip to Sierra Leone gathering as much as we can to fill 2 suitcases each. We have made an appeal for pens, pencils, crayons, felt tip pens, reading books, football shirts and green, blue or white t-shirts.

We are also planning the lessons that we will teach whilst in Sierra Leone: Astronomy, Art Therapy, Poetry and Sustainability.

PLEASE bring into school any of the above and we can pack and take them on your behalf.
